4 Christmas Party Games that Ooze Holiday Spirit

4 Christmas Party Games that Ooze Holiday Spirit

Layne Alfred |

Getting everyone together for the holidays is a perfect opportunity to play silly games. And what makes games even better? That’s right, our good friend Mary Jane. So we decided to put together our favorite group games that can be “Ooze-ified,” or upgraded with a stoner twist.

1. White Elephant Gift Exchange

The “white elephant” Christmas gift exchange is a classic. Simply bring a wrapped gift in your most outrageous wrapping paper to make it stand out. Everyone draws a number out of hat, and whoever is first gets to open the first anonymous gift. After the first player opens their gift, anyone after that can steal anyone’s opened gift or grab a new one to open. Depending on your spend limit, a Slim Twist battery, or Slugger would make a great gift for a stoner White Elephant.

*Remember to add a “21+ ONLY” sticker to the wrapping to keep it out of children’s hands!

 2. The Candy Cane Games

To host your own candy cane “Olympics,” pick a few of these candy cane games that stand out to you. Some ideas include a candy cane relay race, hitting marshmallows with a candy cane bat, candy cane “shuffle board,” or fishing for candy canes. These games are easy, require only a few materials, and allow everyone to participate.

To Ooze-ify this festive challenge, have everyone take a nice big hit before it’s their turn to shine! You’re bound to get some extra silliness out of the candy cane games if you do.

3. Paper Plate Game

For paper plate drawing activity, have nice smoke sesh with everyone before starting to make sure the creative juices are flowing all around. The only materials you need for this hilarious game are heavy-duty paper plates and pens. Each player puts their paper plate on top of their head and waits for the host to read them what their “drawing assignment” is. For example, the first challenge could be:

  1. Draw a line for a floor.
  2. 2. Draw a Christmas Tree.
  3. 3. Draw a star on top of your tree.
  4. 4. Draw a fireplace with a mantel next to the tree.
  5. 5. Draw a stocking hanging from the mantel of your fireplace.
  6. 6. Draw a present below the tree.

Players have to try to follow these instructions without looking at their plate. Once everyone is finished, the host will read out the point system for that challenge:

  1. 2 points if the tree touches the floor.
  2. 2. 2 points if your stocking is touching your mantel.
  3. 3. 1 point if your star touches your tree.
  4. 4. 1 point if your star is above your tree…

…and so on and so forth. For more challenges and specific instructions, check them out here!

4. Lump of Coal Saran Wrap Challenge

This is a great classic Christmas party game that you can easily add a stoner twist. For the Lump of Coal challenge, small gifts like money, lottery tickets and candy are wrapped up in a single (giant) ball of saran wrap. The ball gets handed around the circle and each person takes a turn unwrapping the ball. If they find a prize within their allotted time, it’s theirs!

To make this Ooze-approved, wrap up little items like pre-rolls, rolling papers, small nugs of weed or oil cartridges!

No matter what activities you have planned for your friends this Christmas, we know one thing is for sure: all games are better when you have a nice buzz going. Happy holidaze!
