How to Make Cannabis-Infused Olive Oil
Before you can make infused guac, you need infused olive oil. The good news is it's a straightforward process that only takes a few hours.
What you need:
- 1 cup olive oil
- 3.5g-7g decarboxylated cannabis flower (already vaped! Adjust based on desired potency)
Steps:
- Decarb your flower. You can do this gradually by collecting your cashed vape bowls, or bake it on a baking sheet at 245°F (118°C) for 30-40 minutes.
- Combine and heat low and slow. Add your decarbed flower and olive oil to a small saucepan or double boiler. Keep the temperature between 160-200°F (71-93°C) for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally. Never let it boil.
- Strain and store. Pour the oil through a cheesecloth or fine mesh strainer into a glass jar. Squeeze out as much oil as possible, then discard the plant material. Store in a cool, dark place for up to two months.
A few tips: the lower the heat and longer the infusion, the more consistent the final product. Patience here pays off in potency.

Ingredients
Base
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 tbsp cannabis-infused olive oil
- 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
- Juice of 1 lime
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
Optional add-ins:
- 1/4 white onion, finely diced
- 1 Roma tomato, diced
- 1 green onion, sliced
- 1 jalapeno, diced (leave seeds for heat, remove for mild)
Directions
- Halve and pit the avocados. Scoop the flesh into a bowl.
- Add the cannabis-infused olive oil and mash together to your preferred consistency.
- Add the cilantro, lime juice, salt, cumin, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
- Fold in any optional add-ins you're using.
- Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve immediately with your chips of choice.
Tip: Leave 1 avocado pit in the bowl and press plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the guac if you're not serving it right away. This slows the browning. Just toss the pit when you're ready to serve.
